Stingers Basketball Academy

Having success in the Brodie league, Unc and his squad look to take on the DDBL with no mercy. They are here for the cameras, the flash, and most importantly, the rings. Keep an eye out for the Jackson brothers, as they look to make you feel very, very small. Having the most experienced participants, and the most drive to play the game, teams better bring their A-game when they are matched up against the Stingers on the schedule.

Cookie Monsters

The team that once ruled Xpress fitness has come to rule the DDBL. With a highly experienced basketball squad, led by their captain Manjot Gill and the La Melo Ball clone, German Garcia they look to work as a well-oiled machine to beat their opponents in every way possible. Having extra attributes from the old building they once conquered, be very careful about handling the ball around the Cookie Monsters.

Make-a-Swish Foundation

Another well-oiled machine that is capable of beating you from anywhere on their floor. Their captain, Bilal Ghori has unlimited range, and coincidentally wears the number 30, while their big man, Joey Kotte likes to make those Jokic type passes from the post. This team can get hot in the blink of an eye, so if you ever find your team up against them… best of luck to you!

Free Agents

A team with no chemistry, no prior knowledge of each other, and no knowledge of each other's names. The only thing they have in common… They can hoop. Led by Emilio Dambrosio, who came from Brodie league averaging 26 PPG, this team is looking to prove everyone wrong. Do not underestimate them, as they could easily end up higher than 4th on the rankings.

Easterns

The Easterns are all about their chemistry, as they all have played together before. Watch out for their ball movement, quick cuts, and fast-paced style of play. They could easily end up a lot higher on the rankings, as they look to make a statement in the DDBL just as they have in the TCBL.

Alan & Friends

Our latest addition to the DDBL family, and potentially the most dangerous. They could have the most balanced team, given they are strong offensively and defensively, but they have some work to prove first before they officially earn a stronger title.

Ragazzi

Some say this team believed they signed up for bocce ball… Some say they thought it was a briscola tournament… but they know what they signed up for, and they know their potential. The best way to describe this team is ‘athletic’, as they have the stamina, strength, and agility to compete. But do they have the skill to win… ? Only time will tell.

Brick Layers

Their name fits them quite well, as they may actually shoot under 10% from three all season… but do not take them lightly, as they will punish you in the paint. From the TCBL to the DDBL, both Tristan Joyce and Marwan Shebl look to slash, rebound and cut backdoor against any team who thinks they can look right past them. Having Kyle Rawding on the arc is nothing less than having Klay Thompson waiting to kick out to, so be careful for their run-and-gun style of play.
